However, due to the current situation in the country, the government has announced scheduled power outages and energy rationing that will affect the entire Ecuadorian territory in the following days:
- Scheduled power outage: Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 19 (Ecuador Time - GMT-5).
- Nightly power rationing: From Monday, September 23 to Friday, September 27, 2024, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (Ecuador Time - GMT-5).
At Hosting Supremo, we have backup systems, such as batteries, power inverters, and generators, to ensure the continuous operation of our servers. However, it is important to note that telecommunications companies, including mobile phone providers, have announced that their infrastructure will only be able to maintain service for approximately 3 to 4 hours once the outages begin. After that time, many areas may be left without mobile communications.
Additionally, our internet access carrier has informed us that due to the scale of the outages, they cannot guarantee the stability of connectivity via fiber optics during these periods. Despite our internal efforts, this is an external factor beyond our control.
We want to assure you that the information hosted on our servers will be fully protected. In the event of connectivity interruptions, we will work as quickly as possible to restore access to your services.
